Simple One Egg stove top Cake

This cake is Soooo simple, very easy to  make, and tastes really delicious.
One day my cousin came home , we made this and we both finished it soon after it is done.... :)
Just give it a try and you will know it how easy and tasty it is ........


Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Makes : 12 pieces

Ingredients :

Unsalted butter : 1tsp
Un-sifted all-purpose flour : 1¼ cup
Sugar : 1/3 cup
Baking powder : 1 tsp
Salt : 1/2 tsp
Shortening : 1/2 cup
Skim milk : 2/3 cup
Egg : 1
Vanilla : 1 tsp

 Method:

Butter generously the Medium Saute Skillet or to say a flat bottomed vessel.
Add 2 tsp of all purpose flour and spread it i.e. actually you are making a non-stick coating.Keep this aside.
In a large mixing bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, shortening and milk.
Blend well with an electric mixer at low speed, about 1 minute.
Increase to medium speed, and add egg and vanilla, mix about 2 minutes. ( if you don't have electric whisk just mix it with a spatula)
Allow batter to set for 10-15 minutes before cooking.
Pour batter into Skillet, cover (vent closed)
Put a very thick bottom tawa on medium heat for 5 mins once it is hot put it in low.
Keep our vessel on top of that heated tawa and cover it.
Let it cook for 20 to 30 mins or till when inserted tooth pick comes out clean.
Take it off from the stove.
Let it cool completely.
Invert cake onto plate.
You can have it directly or frost by placing a chocolate candy bar on top to melt, spread with a butter knife of spatula.
Yummy and easy cake is ready ...
